This is a product I have carried in my handbag and used constantly since I got it and it will forever be an essential in my skincare and makeup kit. Instant Moisture Glow from the YSL Top Secrets range gives a boost to your skin whether you're going makeup free or not. This super hydrating product can be worn alone, as a primer or on top of foundation. It smooths the surface of your skin and gives it a much-needed hydration boost throughout the day as you wear it. Your skin will look noticeably better when you put this on and it's such a brilliant addition to your kit whatever your routine.

Branded as skincare for makeup lovers YSL's Top Secrets Collection is inspired by catwalk makeup and beauty; a whole range of products that are skincare-makeup hybrids perfect for catwalk use that also work as the best beauty tricks in the book and this Instant Moisture Glow is no exception. It's already one of my essential daily go-tos since the day I got it and I just love the obvious radiance and smoothness it gives to my skin immediately.

I am not a fan of heavy foundation, I just can't do it but I got to a point where I realised I had to get one so I did quite a lot of research to find the perfect light but great coverage product and in the end I found gold in Chanel's prestigious Vitalumiere Aqua.

Used by everyone from Alexa Chung to Michelle Dockery, this light as a feather, dreamy foundation gives great coverage without caking, really illuminates your skin giving it a beautiful silky finish and, not that it matters too much but, it smells amazing. Combined with YSL's Instant Moisture Glow you're on your way to gorgeous, younger looking, radiant skin without even seeming to be wearing any makeup at all. This is my all time favourite foundation.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Compact

The next step in this rather luxurious and dreamy look is Giorgio Armani's latest release Luminous Silk Powder which is just what the title suggest. To celebrate 15 years of Armani's classic Luminous Silk Foundation the brand have added the perfect powder compact to the range and for the purposes of the routine in this article it couldn't suit the other products more. The powder goes on like silk and, like the others, it has a very natural and perfect finish giving the famous "Armani Glow" to top off the YSL and Chanel products. It gently covers unwanted shine and gives an all round natural but perfect complexion.

YSL Sahariennes Bronzing Palette

 Finally, to give your natural, flawless look a little bit of a subtle sun-kissed glow, I've added one product I've recently started added to my makeup arsenal. Les Sahariennes Bronzing Palette from YSL, from the collection I wrote about here, is the perfect product to apply to areas of your face that the sun naturally hits, whether you tan or not, to give you a lovely warm sun-kissed feeling without ever leaving the country. The texture is beautifully creamy and easy to apply and it also works so well in tandem with YSL's Touche Éclat if you want to try out some minor contouring!
